Context

In year three this term our context is called ‘Where in the world are we?’ The children are learning more about themselves and the area in which they live. We are going to be exploring Hemlington and further afield during our tour of Middlesbrough.

Literacy

At the moment in Literacy we are looking at a range of narrative stories set in a familiar place. We will then be moving onto some poetry work.

Numeracy

In numeracy we are aiming for the children to learn their number bonds and times tables (2, 3, 5 and 10).

Science

Our science topic this half term is teeth and healthy eating. The children will be experimenting by making toothpaste. They will also learn about the different food groups and how to have a balanced diet.

Reminders

We will check home school records every Thursday for evidence of reading. Reading books will be changed on Mondays and Wednesdays. Homework needs to be returned to school on a Thursday morning.
